JBMOnboard360 / Vagaro alternative
Vagaro alternative
A Vagaro alternative for when booking isn't the problem.
Vagaro is one of the cheapest ways to get online booking, payments and a marketplace listing for a salon, spa or studio. If your bookings run fine but leads go cold, intake is still on paper, or HQ can't see what each location needs, JBMOnboard360 is built for that part. It does not take card payments, run memberships or send SMS in the US, so many businesses keep Vagaro for checkout.
Vagaro pricing
How much does Vagaro cost?
Vagaro's pricing page, checked in October 2026, lists $30 a month for one location, with a promotional $23.99 a month for the first 6 months. The base price covers one bookable calendar. Each extra calendar is $10 a month, up to 7 calendars, after which additional employees are free. Multi-location pricing is a custom quote. Optional add-ons cost extra, and payment processing is billed per transaction.
So for a single salon with five stylists, the subscription is roughly $30 plus four extra calendars at $10, or about $70 a month before add-ons and processing. That is hard to beat on price, and we won't pretend otherwise.
JBMOnboard360 costs more and does a different job. Professional is $79 per user per month billed annually ($99 monthly) for client records, scheduling, invoicing, forms, team chat and AI meeting summaries. Business is $399 per location per month billed annually ($499 monthly) with unlimited users, and adds the help desk, the WhatsApp concierge and the lead inbox with follow-ups. Enterprise starts at $349 per location for 10 or more locations, billed annually. A BAA is included on every plan.

Be fair
Who should stay with Vagaro
Vagaro is a good product for a lot of salons, barbershops, spas and studios. Stay with it, or choose it, if:
- You are a single location and price is the deciding factor.
- You want booking, checkout, card payments, memberships and packages in one app.
- New clients find you through Vagaro's marketplace.
- Your clients expect text reminders.
If that's you, switching to JBMOnboard360 would cost more and give you less of what you use every day.
When a Vagaro alternative makes sense
We usually talk to Vagaro users in three situations:
- Leads are leaking. Instagram DMs, website forms and WhatsApp messages arrive in different places, and nobody owns the follow-up. A booking calendar records the clients who booked; it doesn't chase the ones who didn't.
- You've grown to several locations. Multi-location pricing becomes a quote, and HQ has no simple way to receive and track requests from locations, from a broken chair to a staff change to a new-service launch.
- You've added medical services. A salon that adds injectables or IV therapy starts collecting health history and needs to think about HIPAA, intake forms and a BAA in a different way.
What JBMOnboard360 does instead
JBMOnboard360 is the CRM and operations layer. Each client has one record with appointments, forms, invoices, notes and conversation history. The lead inbox collects enquiries from your website and inbound WhatsApp, with follow-up reminders and a daily digest of who needs a call. The WhatsApp AI concierge replies to people who message you first, from your own knowledge base, and books a callback; it is WhatsApp only and does not answer phone calls. Intake forms with QR codes replace the clipboard. HQ gets a help desk for location requests with SLAs and approvals.
Groups that keep Vagaro for checkout use JBMOnboard360 around it. Read CRM for salons for how that split works, or multi-location business software if HQ visibility is the main issue.

You choose. Annual plans are a 12-month commitment at the lower annual price, and your price is locked for the term. Monthly plans cost more, and you can cancel them at any time.
