JBMOnboard360 / Salesforce alternative
Salesforce alternative for small business
A Salesforce alternative that works without a consultant.
Salesforce can be shaped into almost anything, which is why big companies love it and why small teams often stall in setup. If you run a service business and want client records, scheduling, intake forms, invoices, lead follow-up and a help desk that work on day one, with a HIPAA BAA on every plan, JBMOnboard360 is built that way. If you need deep customization and a huge app ecosystem, Salesforce is still the answer.
Salesforce pricing
What Salesforce costs a small business
Salesforce's small business pricing page, checked October 2026, lists:
- Starter Suite: $25 per user per month, billed monthly or annually. Sales, service and email marketing basics in one package.
- Pro Suite: $100 per user per month, on an annual contract only. More customization, forecasting and automation.
Larger editions, such as Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Enterprise, are priced per product and per user. The license is usually not the biggest line item for a small business. The real costs tend to be the time to configure objects, page layouts and automations, and, for many teams, a Salesforce partner to do it.
The HIPAA detail most small businesses miss
Salesforce does sign a Business Associate Addendum, but only for services on its list of "HIPAA Covered Services", such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Health Cloud, and only once you sign a BAA that names them. According to Salesforce's BAA restrictions page (updated 30 September 2026), Starter Suite is not on that list. So the $25 entry point is not an option for storing protected health information, and the edition you would need isn't priced publicly for that purpose.
JBMOnboard360 includes a BAA on every plan and hosts US customers on AWS in the United States. Professional is $79 per user per month billed annually ($99 monthly) for client records, scheduling, invoicing, forms, team chat and AI meeting summaries. Business is $399 per location per month billed annually ($499 monthly) with unlimited users, and adds the help desk, the WhatsApp concierge and the lead inbox with follow-ups. Enterprise starts at $349 per location for 10 or more locations, billed annually.

Be fair
Who should choose Salesforce
- Sales-led companies with a pipeline, forecasting and territory needs that will grow into a large sales team.
- Businesses that need custom objects and complex automation, and have an admin or partner to own it.
- Teams that depend on AppExchange integrations or already use other Salesforce products.
- Healthcare organizations ready for Health Cloud and its implementation project.
Those are real strengths, and JBMOnboard360 doesn't try to match them.
Why small service businesses look for a Salesforce alternative
The pattern we hear: a clinic, med spa, agency or multi-location group buys Salesforce because it is the safe choice, and six months later the team is still using spreadsheets for half the work. Scheduling, intake forms and invoicing aren't in the base suite, so they get bolted on. The person who configured it leaves. And when the business starts collecting health information, the BAA question forces an edition change.
JBMOnboard360 takes the opposite approach: a fixed product built for businesses that serve clients, with the parts a service business uses every day already joined up. One client record holds appointments, forms, invoices, notes, files and conversations. A lead inbox gives each enquiry an owner and a next step, with a daily digest of overdue follow-ups. The help desk lets locations raise cases, requests and changes with SLAs. Calls can be recorded and summarized by AI, with the summary saved to the client record. And on Business you can add your own record types and forms without a developer.
Two limits to know: JBMOnboard360 doesn't send SMS or process card payments in the US, and its WhatsApp concierge only answers people who message you first. It doesn't answer phone calls and it is not for health information.
Questions
Salesforce alternative questions
Is there a long-term contract?
You choose. Annual plans are a 12-month commitment at the lower annual price, and your price is locked for the term. Monthly plans cost more, and you can cancel them at any time.
How much does Salesforce cost for a small business?
As of October 2026, Salesforce lists Starter Suite at $25 per user per month and Pro Suite at $100 per user per month on an annual contract. Setup help from a partner, if you use one, is extra.
Will Salesforce sign a BAA on Starter Suite?
Not according to Salesforce's BAA restrictions page, updated 30 September 2026. Its BAA covers only listed HIPAA Covered Services such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Health Cloud, and Starter Suite is not on the list.
Is JBMOnboard360 cheaper than Salesforce?
Not at the entry level: Starter Suite is $25 per user and JBMOnboard360 Professional is $79. JBMOnboard360 includes scheduling, intake forms, invoicing and a BAA, which a small business would otherwise add to Salesforce.
Can I customize JBMOnboard360?
Yes, within limits. On Business and Enterprise you can build your own record types and forms without a developer. It doesn't have an app marketplace or Salesforce-level customization.
Do I need a consultant to set up JBMOnboard360?
No. After the free consultation the team sets up a trial account with your own data. Enterprise customers with 10 or more locations get dedicated onboarding and data migration.
